VICE-CAPTAIN Ricky James scored four tries as Lokomotive ARLC beat Selby Warriors 60-10 to lift the Selby & District Plate at Featherstone Rovers' ground.
It is feared the match could be the last-ever for the Warriors. They had quit the Pennine League over the winter with the idea of regrouping for the summer Yorkshire Men's League season but they now appear in danger of folding for good.
For the Lokos, conversely, it is their second piece of silverware in two weeks ahead of their YML campaign, following their victory over New Earswick in the North Yorkshire Invitational Cup final.
Their other scorers were Jon Cambridge (2), Jamie Price (2), Jarred Smith, Mat Martin and club chairman Matt Chapman, who started at loose-forward but switched to the unaccustomed position of half-back due to early injuries. James added eight conversions to his four tries for an individual 32-point haul.
Chapman said: "Selby had a strong team out but for us everything just seemed to click at the right time."
On the Warriors, he added: "We've heard they are now folding and it's real shame if that happens."
