YORK Acorn ARLC coach Leigh Paul-Rientoul has been lauded with the award for Outstanding Contribution to York amateur rugby league.

Paul-Rientoul received the accolade for his work with the Blue and Golds, York and District, and Yorkshire, plus his input into the East versus West 'State of Yorigin' challenge match.

The award was one of several handed out by guest of honour Leeds Rhinos forward Adam Cuthbertson at the York & District ARL presentation evening.

New Earswick All Blacks player-manager Jack Stearman was named Coach of the Year after his side topped Yorkshire League division one in their first season playing summer rugby.

Heworth half-back Liam Jackson - who is likely to be taken on trial in pre-season by York City Knights - received the Colin Nolan Memorial Trophy as the York ARL Player of the Year.

The Eurig Thomas Unsung Hero award went to Gary Dickenson, who works with All Blacks, York & District ARL and Knights.
