NEW Earswick All Blacks finished their first season in the Yorkshire Men’s League by claiming a clean sweep at the Yorkshire Men’s Awards Dinner.

Finishing top of the league and winning the 40/20 cup, All Blacks won the Yorkshire Men’s League Team of the Season, while Sean Malarkey was named Division One Player of the Year and Jack Stearman picked up Coach of the Year.

Club chairman Paul Pallister and player-coach Stearman commended the efforts and commitment of the club’s coaching staff and players.

Stearman said: “Sean has had an outstanding season, and for his form to be recognized by the rest the league is testament to the effort and leadership he shows weekly. The Coach of the Year award is down to the commitment and help of Chris Judge, Simon Baynes, Mark Baynes and Trev Sadler as a coaching team.

“We have massively progressed as a club and team and there is an exciting future ahead.”

The awards will be showcased at the club’s end-of-season presentation evening at Clifton Park on Friday, November 17.

Tickets cost £27.50 per head or £250 for a table of 10, with former boxer, rugby league player and actor Adam Fogerty a special guest for the night.

The evening starts at 7pm and tables can be booked by emailing Jack Stearman (jackstearman@gmail.com).
