SELBY Warriors enjoyed their returned to action as they took hosts Beeston Broncos to the cleaners.
It was the Warriors' first game for a month and the rest obviously did them good as forwards Paul Greenwood, Kelvin Robinson and hefty prop Darryl Taylor excelled in a 48-22 Pennine League division four victory.
In the backs, Danny England and Tom Kilgar had their best games for a long time, the home side finding it hard to cope.
Kelvin Robinson scored the first two tries, cutting through the defence like a knife through butter.
Kilgar scored the next two as Selby took a 24-0 lead into half-time.
Beeston came back into the game after the break, scoring a few tries of their own, but Selby stepped it up, with Danny England getting them moving again with a superb try from 50 yards.
The returning Stevie Bell then broke through and, with the full-back to beat, passed to Robinson who dived over the line for his hat-trick try - only to drop the ball as he celebrated early.
Moments later, Kilgar showed him how to do it with his hat-trick try.
Hooker Jack Greensmith scored the next and the final try went to new singing Lee Hawkhead, in his first ever game.
Hawkhead, 33, had approached the club a few weeks ago wanting to start playing, having already had a taste for the game as chairman of the Selby branch of the Leeds Rhinos Supporters' Club.
The mid-table Warriors have two league games left but have another blank weekend afoot.
The club, meanwhile, on the lookout for a coach to take charge of their new ladies' team. Anyone interested is asked to phone 07585 801152.
