SOME tickets are still available for the "East v West" fundraising dinner on Saturday featuring Great Britain, Super League and NRL legend Adrian Morley.
The York & District Amateur Rugby League event is being held in memory of Stuart Evans, the award-winning match official, rugby league administrator and well-known York City Knights fan and historian who died in November, aged 68.
It follows the East v West charity match over Christmas between a combined York Acorn and York Lokomotive team from one side of the River Ouse and a Heworth and New Earswick All Blacks mix from the other.
Morley was involved that day, assisting Acorn boss Leigh Paul-Rientoul as coach of the East team, and he will be guest speaker this Saturday, also staying over in York that night.
The three-course dinner, starting at 7pm for a 7.30pm sit down, will be at York RUFC's Clifton Park home, which also staged the aforementioned match.
Tickets cost £25 and are available from Paul-Rientoul by phoning 07854 378293.
Meanwhile, York Lokos are also to stage a sporting dinner too, at the Park Inn Hotel in York on Sunday, April 2, at which the guest speaker will be former Bradford and Wigan prop Stuart Fielden - a former Great Britain team-mate of Morley.
Along with a three-course meal, there will also be a comedian and an auction of memorabilia, with the event starting at 1pm.
Tickets costing £30 are available from Matt by phoning 07415 341428 or emailing yorklokos@hotmail.com.
