NEW Earswick All Blacks ARLC’s unbeaten home record in Pennine League Championship One was shattered by a 54-6 defeat to Morley Borough.

A run of eight consecutive White Rose Avenue wins was all-but ended by half-time as the high-flying visitors ran in six first-half tries.

The All Blacks’ only response came from player coach Jack Stearman, who powered his way over the line after 26 minutes, with Tom Holmes converting.

Morley led 34-6 at half-time and built on that advantage in the second period with three further converted tries.

The win allowed Morley to move above the All Blacks in the table into second place, ten points adrift of leaders Doncaster Toll Bar.

Stearman was New Earswick’s man of the match, well backed up by Adam Caddie and Dan Atkinson.

Sherburn Bears went down 40-12 at Eastmoor Dragons in division four, their fifth defeat of the campaign.

Selby Warriors were 38-4 victors at home to West Bowling ‘A’ in the same division.
