SECOND-PLACED New Earswick All Blacks ARLC got their Pennine League Championship One campaign back on track with a 32-10 victory over Odsal Sedbergh.

New Earswick took the lead after only two minutes at White Rose Avenue when Ben Pulleyn crossed for a try, with Tom Holmes adding the extras.

The home side added to their lead when Dean Smith crossed for an unconverted try and then Jack Carling powered over and Holmes converted.

Holmes added a penalty to give the All Blacks a 12-0 half-time lead.

After the break, Smith managed to ground the ball in the corner to score, with Holmes goaling.

Odsal narrowed the gap with a converted try, but the All Blacks kept them at arm’s length as Carling careered through four defenders to score.

Odsal crossed again, but the All Blacks sealed their win with Smith crossing for his hat-trick try. The New Earswick man of the match was Carling, backed up well by Jack Stearman and Adam Caddie.

Meanwhile, Sherburn Bears needed extra time to edge past hosts Wakefield City in round three of the Pennine Supplementary Cup.

The Bears eventually won through 26-22.
