NEW Earswick All Blacks ARLC will turn their attention to the Pennine League after they were knocked out of the President’s Cup 48-10 by Bentley Good Companions.

But the exit was compounded by a series of injuries just before half-time.

Bentley took the lead with a converted try but All Blacks levelled three minutes later when solid pressure saw Jack Hodgson score, with Tom Holmes converting.

Bentley regained the lead but All Blacks responded with an unconverted try from Jack Stearman after he powered his way over.

The hosts though notched another converted try to lead 18-10 at half-time.

All Blacks played the entire second half with only 11 men after suffering a flurry of five injuries in the 20 minutes up the interval, a factor that led to Bentley bagging five converted second-half tries.

The All Blacks man of the match was Carl Smith, backed up by Stearman and Tom Barron.

In Pennine League division four, Selby Warriors lost 36-14 at Emley Moor, while Sherburn Bears edged to an 8-6 win over visiting Dearne Valley Bulldogs.
