PROP Brad Brennan has joined Jack Lee and Ryan Backhouse in making the post-season switch from York City Knights to arch-rivals Hunslet Hawks.

Brennan finished 2014 at Huntington Stadium, playing 13 times for York in Championship One - including the play-off defeat by grand final winners Hunslet - while on loan from Batley Bulldogs.

He was released by the Bulldogs at the end of the season. Knights boss James Ford confirmed York had not offered the 21-year-old a contract for 2015, but said: “Brad has some good attributes and we wish him well, like we do all the players who have left.”

York currently have seven ‘middle unit’ forwards on their books for next season - The Press Player of the Year Jack Aldous, player/assistant-coach Mark Applegarth, Austin Bell, Jake Joynt, Jay Leary, Jack Pickles and Colton Roche - but may need to add to that list before the season starts.
