YORK Lokomotive ARLC had their first-ever piece of silverware in sight - only for the lights to go out.
The Lokos led Normanton 'A' 18-6 at half-time of their final fixture of the Yorkshire Men's League group two campaign last night, knowing victory would see them finish joint-top with Shaw Cross 'A' and win the title on head-to-head.
But the floodlights at their New Lane base then failed.
The match has been rescheduled for 7.30pm on Monday at New Lane or Clifton Park.
Lokos tries came from Jamie Price, Ricky James and Tom Dunmore, who added three goals.
