York Acorn ARLC’s Ash Robson has signed a two-year academy deal with Castleford.

The teenage full-back, who stars for Acorn under-18s and has already become a regular in the first team, was previously with Leeds Rhinos’ youth but left Headingley earlier this year, which allowed him to play again for his amateur club.

Super League outfit Cas have recently agreed a partnership with York City Knights, which means Robson, a England youth international, may in time be eligible to play on dual-reg for his home town team.
