City of York set for finale to athletics league

CITY of York Athletics Club host their final track and field Ingrams Summer League meeting tomorrow.
The competition is aimed at all levels of athlete from under-9s to veterans, with races graded to ensure appropriate competition.
Registration starts at 10.30am at Huntington Stadium, with entry on the day of £2 per event.
The field events are scheduled to start with the U15 hammer at 11.15am, with the last events taking place at 3.30pm.
On the track, the first event is the U13 girls 150 metre race and the meeting concludes with the 1,500 metres at about 3.15pm.
Athletes in the U11, U13, U15 and U17 categories can only compete in up to three events at each meeting, while the U13s and U15s are not allowed to tackle the 800 metres and 1,500 metres on the same day.
Tomorrow’s meeting is the fourth in the series, with athletes vying for overall league victories based on results from at least three of the four competitions.
