York City Baths Club win at North East Regional Championships

SENIOR swimmers from York City Baths Club sparkled at the Youth & Senior North East Regional Championships at Sunderland Aquatics Centre.
Sarah Lambert was in superb form, winning outright gold medals in the 50 metre backstroke and freestyle, while also taking the senior gold in the 100m backstroke.
Danny Martland was also an outright gold medal winner in the 50m backstroke, closely followed by Bradley Swainston, with a senior silver.
Swainston followed up with a senior silver in the 50m freestyle, where he was followed home by bronze medallist Xavier Edmonds-Allen.
James Wilby, in his last year in the youth age group, won gold medals in the 50m and 100m breaststroke events and added a bronze in the 200m breaststroke.
Sam Rainton won bronze in the 50m backstroke, while also coming seventh in the 200m backstroke.
Anna Ward was ninth in the 50m butterfly final.
Matthew Dearlove did not make the final of the 200m breaststroke, but posted a personal best time.
