Silver medal for Thomas Somers in Sainsbury’s 2012 School Games

EASINGWOLD School’s Thomas Somers starred in the Olympic Stadium in London at the Sainsbury’s 2012 School Games.
The 15-year-old finished second in the 200 metres running for North East of England against seven other regional teams, including Scotland and Northern Ireland.
He clocked 21.61 seconds to claim a silver medal.
Somers is currently ranked as the second fastest under-17 in the UK, and 32nd in the country’s all-time list.
Dwain Chambers is 17th on the list with an U17s time of 21.32 seconds.
