York and Selby miss out on area netball titles

U14 York and Selby Area team
YORK and Selby under-16s had to settle for second best in their North Yorkshire Inter-Area Netball Tournament at Joseph Rowntree School.
They beat Scarborough and Ryedale 23-4 and Hambleton and Richmond 25-14, before they went down 13-10 to Harrogate and Craven.
Second place was also secured by York and Selby’s U14s.
Victories over Hambleton and Richmond (22-5) and Scarborough and Ryedale (17-5) teed up a winner takes all clash with Harrogate and Craven. However, York and Selby were edged out 12-11.
Captain Rowan Palmour was named player of the tournament.
The U19s beat Scarborough and Ryedale easily and then despatched Hambleton and Richmond, before losing to Harrogate and Craven.
