GOLDEN boy Alistair Cooper claimed four medals for Team Jorvik at Rotherham Metro’s Long Course Meet at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.
The York swimming club sent a squad of six youngsters to take on 30 clubs from across the country.
Jorvik’s three boys and three girls had a successful weekend, with a total of 26 personal best times and ten medals.
Cooper swam all 12 events and achieved two qualifying times in the 200 metres freestyle – to win gold – and 200m backstroke – to take bronze – for the Yorkshire Championships next month.
He also won silver in the 200m butterfly and bronze in the 200m breaststroke.
Jack Dorland’s nine events brought six PBs and bronze medals in the 100m breaststroke and 50m butterfly.
Zak Moorcroft achieved two Yorkshire qualifying times and missed a medal by a tenth of a second in the 50m backstroke.
Aimee-Jo Milner was fifth in the 200m butterfly and won bronze in the 100m breaststroke.
Rachel Dunmore took bronze in the 100m freestyle and 100m backstroke and finished fourth in the 50m butterfly.
Eleanor Cooper won silver in the 200m freestyle.
Emma Dorland made her gala debut at John Charles Centre in the Leeds ‘B’ Grade Meet.
