A HAT-TRICK of wins were sealed by North Yorkshire under-17s in their latest hockey development competition fixtures in Hull.
The North Yorkshire girls were 4-2 winners over Humberside, before beating South Yorkshire 2-0 and dismissing West Yorkshire 4-0.
Against Humberside, North Yorkshire were slow to start but eventually dominated the game despite missing a number of good chances.
Humberside scored two goals against the run of play, but a penalty flick from Zara Gower and a debut goal from Sasha Taylor got them back in the game and two late goals from Emily Dunne gave them a deserved victory.
In a close match against South Yorkshire, the North Yorkshire girls played some attractive passing hockey.
A full length diving save from Ellie Fletcher kept the scores level before goals from Lydia Clissett and Frankie Marsh sealed the win.
The West Yorkshire game followed immediately afterwards and North Yorkshire, already warmed up, played their best hockey of the day using the full width of the pitch with quick passing.
A brilliantly executed short corner move was netted by Marsh to give North Yorkshire an early lead and they added further goals from Emma Tune, Charlotte Crossman and Dunne.
