ACOMB squash ace Poppie Jaram is celebrating after winning her first girls’ under-13s open championship – at the age of 11.

The York youngster stormed to success in the Manchester Open at Sports City, the home of the National Squash Centre.

She competed against girls from Manchester, Cumbria, Leicester and Warwickshire. Jaram followed that triumph by winning the Huddersfield Open without dropping a game in any of her matches.
