TWO races, 12 months apart, exactly the same winners.
Push The Button and Cudlic Verona certainly have a liking for York Racecourse's winner's enclosure.
The two ponies were triumphant in their respective categories when the finals of the Charles Owen Pony Racing series were held on Knavesmire at The Press Family Raceday last year and the pair repeated the trick when the track held a qualifier for this year's event at the course's only Sunday meeting last weekend.
It was the Bowen family that ruled the roost a year ago, James Bowen winning on Push The Button in the 138cm and under event, while brother Sean also pushed Cudlic Verona out to victory in the higher category.
This time around, James was triumphant again - on Cudlic Verona in the 148cm and under event - and Joshua Bryan had the hottest mount on the course in the 138cm category as Push The Button once again steamed home in front.
The Charles Owen finals will be held at Newbury on September 20.
