Wrestling rumbles into York
FORMER international Kris Leeson is breaking new ground with York Wrestling Club.
The York dentist, who has competed for Great Britain, claims to be the only fully-qualified wrestling coach in North Yorkshire and is running classes at Chokdee Academy at Nether Poppleton.
Leeson said: "Wrestling is a fantastic sport for young children, to improve fitness, strength and discipline."
Children's classes are held on Wednesdays from 5.15pm to 6.15pm, with the first session free of charge and subsequent sessions costing £3. An adult class is staged on Fridays from 6.15pm to 8.15pm.
All sessions take place at Chokdee Academy at York Business Park.
