NEW Earswick Swimming Club earned 60 medals and finished in sixth place out of 24 clubs at the 2014 Jorvik Sprints Meet at the John Charles Centre in Leeds.

Daniel Annings won five medals including one gold, Thomas Bainbridge scooped three medals including one gold, James Barker won four medals including one gold, Eva Bell won 1 medal, Beth Bendall-Hall won two medals including one gold, James Carr's five medals included two golds, Joshua McDowell won a medal, Christina Moore came away with four medals, Katherine Moore won two, Steven Mulligan finished with two medals, Mimi Peters claimed a trio of medals, Harriett Podmore won two medals, Bethany Powell won three medals, Tom Reed's haul of five medals including two golds, Jamie Roper won five medals including three golds, Amber Simpson won two medals, and Francesca Stokes won two medals including a gold.

Megan Taylor just missed out on a medal but gained a personal best, while there were further medals for Callum Tonkins (four medals, one gold), Raie-Clare Underwood (two medals, one gold), Erin Wilkes (three medals, one gold).

Awards for best swimmers went to Jamie Roper, James Barker and Tom Reed.
