Tadcaster on track for regional athletics finals
THE girls’ athletics team from Tadcaster Grammar School lifted the Track and Field Cup at the North East Regional Finals.
The team included Annabelle Bean, Charlotte Render, Eve Brady, Megan Sanders, Chloe Collins, Holly Thompson, Stella Cross, Hannah Wakeford, Alexandra Heard, Rachel White, Hannah Lumley, Sky Young and Molly Mackenzie-Ward.
The girls were competing against seven other teams from other North East regions and dominated the competition, achieving the highest score in any regional final.
Jo Binks, who manages the team, hailed their “drive, determination and camaraderie”.
The team will now represent the region at the National Finals in Bedford on Saturday, July 5.
