NINE-YEAR-OLD Angus Robinson has won the 2014 North-East Under-11 Squash All-Stars Series.
Robinson, a member of York Squash Club and a pupil at St Olave’s School, was presented with the winner’s Dunlop racket and other equipment after the final event.
During the five-tournament series, Robinson competed against 24 other juniors from across Yorkshire and the North East.
The Clifton youngster has been playing squash since the age of six and is also a keen tennis player.
His father, Don, said: “Angus was chuffed to bits when he won and couldn’t stop grinning for the rest of the day.”
The North-East All-Stars is aimed at emerging U11s players from Yorkshire and the North East and is now in its fifth year.
