A HOST of youngsters from York’s Old Priory Judo Club have made the grade.

The Osbaldwick-based club held a judo grading session at Moor Lane Youth Centre involving 23 children from the age of five upwards.

Club secretary Maria Burgess said: “All the instructors would like to say a very big ‘well done’ to everyone who took part.

“They all worked very hard and should be very proud of what they achieved.”

The gradings achieved were: Ages five to seven: Kai Russell got red belt with three white tabs, Gabriel Kosmalska got red belt with one yellow tab, Sam Firth got red belt with one orange tab, Nathan Reed got red belt with one green tab, Sam Grice got red belt with one brown tab.

Ages eight to 15: Michael Wright got white and three yellow tabs, Amos Lund got white and three yellow tabs, Daria Kosmalska got yellow belt, Lochlann Chapman got yellow belt, Alex Golding got yellow belt and one orange tab, Elen Golding got yellow belt and one orange tab, Aisha Zahir got yellow belt and one orange tab, Erin Dunmore got yellow belt and one orange tab, Victor Almeida got yellow belt and three orange tabs, Chloe Firth got yellow belt and three orange tabs, Jacob Bates got orange belt, Joshua Bates got orange belt, Noah Grice got orange belt, Keir Coomer got orange belt.

Ages 16 and over: Andrew Ludlow got green belt, Dave Ludloe got green belt, James Jarrett got green belt.
