City of York Badgers bade farewell to key player Joe Inman as they went down 8-0 to Thirsk.
Inman was featuring in his last game before his family relocates to Scotland and he almost signed off with a goal, but his strike from a penalty corner was kept out.
Despite losing heavily, York put up a spirited display with Henry Brown turning in a superb performance in goal on his first outing of the season.
Hamish Broadbent had a great reverse stick strike saved by the ’keeper, while Caitlin Rore and Morgan Thomas also went close.
