NEW Earswick ARLC Under-12s remained unbeaten in Yorkshire Junior League division four after twice coming from behind to draw 12-12 with Continuation Cup finalists Keighley Albion.

All Blacks' first try followed a great attack led by Luke Prenty, Dan Cannon and Lewis Young which saw Ritesh Gurung crash over to add to his ever-growing try tally.

Their second equaliser came with two minutes left, Gurung again the scorer, with Sam Briggs adding a brilliant pressure conversion.

Prop Cannon, the top tackler, and Gurung were the parents' players of the match, and Young was the opposition's choice. Briggs' goal won him the magic moment award.

Heworth U11s could field only ten players but won a brilliant see-saw game 30-28 at Oulton - their first-ever victory over the Raiders.

Whenever Heworth went ahead, Oulton hit back, but the Villagers, playing fine tactical rugby, won it thanks to a 100 per cent record with the boot.

Their first-half tries came from man-of-the-match Joseph Richardson, flying in at the corner from Luke Kane's well-timed pass, and Callum Dunmore (2). Reg Robshaw also shone in defence.

At 18-18 with five minutes left, Myles Harrison chipped the defence, regathered and jinked round the full-back.

Oulton again struck back but missed the conversion and, with the whole Heworth team rallying, Harrison again evaded three would-be tacklers to stretch out to the line. A late Oulton riposte was thus not enough.

Heworth's crucial goals were added by Callum Rultand (2), Myles Harrison, Kane Cavanagh and Thomas Wilby, with his first points for the club.

Heworth U10s fought hard in a well-matched contest at Slaithwaite but tired late on.

Tyler Monks, man-of-the-match Jay Richards and opposition's choice Alex Prenty crossed for Heworth. Luke Wall was most improved, Eden Martin the top tackler and Finley Tait, in his best game so far, the coaches' man of the match.

Heworth U9s' excellent form continued with victory at Doncaster Toll Bar.

The Villagers' running and offload game, and fine support play, had the hosts on the back foot, while their defence was well-marshalled by Oliver Pratt, the parents' man of the match and top tackler.

Lucas Burden and Keane Brough shone with great tackles, one bringing Brough the magic moment accolade.

Other notable performers in a fine team effort were Kian Ogilvie, most improved player Reegan Brough, coaches' man-of-the-match Sam Hunt, and the opposition's choice George Bradley Consett.

Try-scorers were Pratt (4), Ogilvie (2), Hunt, Bradley Consett and Harvey Watson.

Heworth U8s put in a brave performance in a physical game at Birkenshaw.

The hosts proved too strong despite excellent defence from top tackler Freddie Wilson and man-of-the-match Ellis Cochrane and good attacking by Harrison Barker and Harvey Monks.
