A RISING rugby union star from Goole High School has been selected for the England Development Centre.
Year 8 pupil Bradley Clarkson, 13, was put forward by the school after staff spotted his exceptional talent and he now has his sights set on a future England team place.
Clarkson, pictured, is one of about 30 youngsters from the Yorkshire region to be chosen and he now trains once a month at various grounds around the county via the Leeds Carnegie training centre.
The Hull Ionians centre said he had already learned new skills.
“It is making me a much better player and my final goal is to make it through to the England squad,” he said.
“I am really psyched up for the challenge. I have made lots of new friends and it’s great to get to meet the England Academy players who regularly help us out.”
