QEGS Wakefield claim rugby tournament crown
QEGS Wakefield were the winners of an under-11s rugby tournament at York’s St Olave’s School.
The hosts, and Wakefield, were among seven other teams who competed. St Olave’s reached the bowl final but were beaten 35-0 by RGS Newcastle.
The plate final saw Bradford beat Bronte House 22-12. QEGS Wakefield were comprehensive victors of the cup - whitewashing Hymers 28-0.
