YORK City in the Community are expanding their work with local junior clubs.
About 50 teams signed up for last season’s new Team Red membership initiative and the Minstermen’s community department are now launching a Club Red scheme for 2012/13.
Clubs can still sign up for Team Reds, which costs £25 per team and aims to “improve communication between local junior teams and York City and enable easier scouting opportunities”.
Membership benefits include up to 25 free Popular Stand tickets for under-16s and a free adult ticket for a coach for a home League fixture.
Club Reds, meanwhile, has three levels of membership.
Bronze membership costs £250 and is suitable for clubs with up to six teams, with benefits including 150 free U16s and six adult tickets to be used for up to three home League fixtures and the chance to be ballboys at a home game.
Silver membership costs £500 and is suitable for up to ten teams, with 250 free U16s tickets and ten adult tickets for up to five home fixtures and the chance to be ballboys at two home games, plus ten coaching hours with York City in the Community.
Gold membership, at £800, is designed for more than ten teams. There are 350 free U16s and 15 adult tickets to be used for five home League fixtures and the opportunity to be ballboys at three home games, plus 20 coaching hours and two two-hour coaching clinics.
