Thorpe United U13 triumph at Stanningley Albion

SECOND-PLACED Thorpe United Under-13s were 3-1 winners at Stanningley Albion in division two of the Garforth Junior Football League.
David Melling opened the scoring for Thorpe and they went 2-0 up when Jamie Pickles whipped in a cross and Jordan Emery’s header was deflected in by a defender.
Albion pulled a goal back before half-time but after the break man of the match Corey Littlefield created space for Lewis Griffiths to turn his marker and fire in a shot off the inside of a post to put the game beyond the hosts.
