HAT-TRICKS were the order of the day for Dringhouses in the York FA Under-19s Football League.

Dringhouses went seven-up to smite Stillington 7-0 with triple treats for both Matty Mulhearn and Chris Douglas. Sam Lake bagged the other goal in the demolition.

Thorpe United also indulged in seventh heaven, travelling to Acomb to inflict a 7-1 hiding upon the hosts.

The men on target for Thorpe were Elliot Precious (2), Andrew Wilson (2), Jordan Leybourn, Dan Ward and Tommy Butterfield. Josh Shepard replied for Acomb.

The surprise of the day was arguably produced by Fulford, who surprised visiting pace-setters Rawcliffe 6-4.

Fulford, who even survived a scoring blitz from Dylan Howlett, had their plunder shared between Jack Davies (3), Roy Page (2) and Connor Patterson. Howlett took the eye with a hat-trick notched in just 20 minutes, but that feat - and a Kieran Nelson strike - only proved to be consolation against the six-of-the-best homesters.

Eight goals graced the game between Wilberfoss and visitors Wigginton Grasshoppers, who seized the full points haul as 5-3 victors.

The Foss scorers were Sam McAllister (2) and Richard Tinson, while the Grasshoppers’ goal-getters were Sam Jeffrey (3), Callum Hirst and James Sutton.

Tockwith again travelled well, prising victory with a 2-0 success at York Cubs. Thomas Robinson and Henry Swires were on target.

The day’s most free-scoring unit was Haxby, who hammered hosts York RI 9-1.
Rattling up the one over the eight triumph were David Fell (2), Liam Brighton (2), George Rhodes, Harry Moorcroft, Kieran Dunlop, Joe Sutton and Dan Clipston.
