THORPE United Under-16s got back to winning ways with a comfortable 3-1 win at Leeds City Juniors in division one of the Garforth Junior Football League.
Ben Clowes rose majestically to head in the opener from a Jordan Emery corner, and Corey Littlefield’s shot across the face of goal was tapped in by man of the match David Melling.
Melling then returned the favour, playing in Littlefield who scored with a good finish across the keeper into the far corner.
Leeds scored when the Thorpe defence failed to clear a counter attack, but the points were already in the bag for the visitors.
