YORK Schoolboys Under-13s romped to a 9-0 win against Barnsley with Joe Crosby hitting a hat-trick.

Joe Hickey (2), Rob Guilfoyle, Charlie Buckle, Manni De Nobriga and Danny Allinson also netted in a resounding success against the South Yorkshire side.

A flowing midfield move after just five minutes was finished by Guilfoyle, who rounded the keeper and netted from an acute angle to start the rout.

Buckle went on to fire in from just inside the area after a fine run by Charlie Ward, while Jamie Higginbotham crossed for Crosby to claim his first following a half-cleared corner.

Good work by Guilfoyle down the right then led to a far-post cross that Hickey headed in and he then claimed his second.

Crosby was back on the scoresheet after De Nobriga and Lucas Frankish had combined to tee up the chance and, after Dom Jackson rattled the crossbar following good work by Charlie Jebson-King, Allinson found the top corner from 20 yards from the rebound.

A right-wing raid by Frankish led to Crosby chipping the keeper to complete his haul.
