STAMFORD Bridge Under-14s put basement side Brooklyn to the sword with a 6-0 triumph in the City of York Girls’ Football League.
Bridge forged ahead in the ninth minute with a fantastic goal from player of the match Poppy Clancey, who turned provider three minutes later for Ellie Parkin’s goal.
On 16 minutes, Olivia Cant found Emma Nelson in space and her fierce shot rifled into the bottom corner of the net.
Goalkeeper Georgia Stanton had to be alert and make a good save in the 23rd minute from a Brooklyn striker.
Bridge added a fourth goal in the 45th minute, Alex Harvey forcing the ball home from a corner.
With five minutes left on the clock, the home team stamped their supremacy on the game with two further goals.
The first saw midfielder Ellie Whytock following up on a partially saved shot to slot home.
The final goal was an excellent solo effort from striker Jess Wills, who beat her marker and placed the ball past the advancing Brooklyn keeper.
