BISHOPTHORPE White Rose Under-12s girls have booked their place in the final of the City of York Girls’ Football League Cup in only their second season.

The youngsters will take on Brayton Belles on May 3 after an impressive run through the competition.

The White Rose beat Tockwith 5-0, Stamford Bridge 3-0 and then Easingwold 2-1 in a close semi-final, with striker Millie Clark the standout player in notching seven goals in the three games.

Coach Josh Wong said: “The girls have made great strides this season with all aspects of their game and deserve the success they have achieved. They are a very enthusiastic and committed team of players and the extremely supportive parents have made a real difference.”
