DEADLY champions Dringhouses inflicted away-day blues on Wigginton Grasshoppers in their York FA Under-19s Football League clash.

The crushing goal-spree was dominated by in-form Dringhouses marksman Wilson Briggs, who weighed in with a hat-trick.

The rest of the plunder was shared between Liam Robertson (2), Jamie Barkway, Tom Hawksby and James Hudson.

Dringhouses head the table by nine points from nearest challengers Harrogate Town with only two match remaining.

Town are fighting for second place with Haxby Town, who are three points behind, also with two games left.

At long last the wait is over for Strensall.

They racked up their first points of the season with a fine 1-0 win over Tockwith, with the vital strike notched by Sean Leetham.

The York-based side remain bottom of the table, trailing second from bottom Fulford by five points.

Rawcliffe enjoyed a one over the eight success, beating visitors Acomb Athletic 9-1.

The marksmen were Luke Bass (2), Harry Lynn (2), Reuben Young (2), Tom Bean, Kieran Smith and Jake Greenhill.

Rawcliffe are still sixth in the table, with little prospect of rising any higher in the standings, while Acomb are fourth from bottom.
