YORK City’s Bootham Crescent home is poised to stage a cracking quartet of York junior football cup finals in May.

The Minstermen’s surge into the Sky Bet League Two play-off frame could yet delay the junior showpiece ties, which currently clash with the play-off dates.

Tuesday, May 6 has been set aside for the York FA Junior Minor (U13s) Cup clash between Fulford and Pocklington Town, followed by the York FA U15s Minor Cup final between Woodthorpe Wanderers and Rawcliffe Tigers.

Two days later, the stadium is due to host the finale of the York FA U14s Minor Cup between York Cubs and Copmanthorpe, then the York FA Senior Minor (U16s) Cup clash between Wigginton Grasshoppers and Pocklington Town Predators.

If Nigel Worthington’s men finish in the top seven, the finals nights will be switched to Tuesday, May 20 and Thursday, May 22.

The run of cup finals kicks off with the York FA U11s Cup tie between Rufforth United and Rawcliffe Tigers at Poppleton’s Millfield Road ground on Tuesday, April 29.

Tockwith host two finals on Bank Holiday Monday, May 5, with Pocklington Town Colts taking on Heworth in the York FA Acaster Steel (U12s) Cup final at 11am, with the York FA U19s Cup final between Wigginton Grasshoppers and Dringhouses following at 1.30pm.
