York Schoolboys U13s won 3-2 in a friendly at Hampton & Richmond.
After falling behind to a rare Hambleton breakaway, the visitors used the remaining 15 minutes of the first period to score three times.
Louie Kirkham equalised with a cool finish and Joe Allerton then defied a tight angle to slide home before Harry Bissett converted from close range following a good team move.
Hambleton, with the wind behind them in the second half, reduced the deficit but posed no real further threat.
For York, Allerton was a class apart on the ball, sliding around defenders in the mud.
Alfie Atkinson and Dan Moll also put in strong shifts but Ritchie Deighton took the man-of-the-match award for a superb rearguard effort.
