NETBALLERS from Lady Lumley's School, in Pickering, claimed an impressive eighth place in the national finals of the Sports College Netball Tournament.
The Ryedale school's Under-16s team, pictured left, took on the country's best at Chorley, in Manchester, in a competition that produced a high standard of play.
Lady Lumley's played exceptionally well, winning two, drawing one and losing three of their six games to finish in eighth.
The school's player of the tournament award went to goal keeper Emma Lund, who was consistent throughout the event.
The team had previously won the North East regional tournament in Guisborough, and the Northern round in North Shields to qualify for the prestigious national finals.
