9:44am Saturday 10th May 2008

A LEAGUE and cup double was completed as Bishopthorpe White Rose won the York FA Under-15s Cup final.

White Rose beat League Cup winners Thorpe United 2-0 in the final.

Tom Littlewood went close for Thorpe, while Bishopthorpe's Simon Jarrot-Smith missed an easy chance. Early in the second half, Kieran Thornhill headed wide with the Thorpe goal gaping.

Midway through the second half, Bishopthorpe took the lead with a superbly worked goal. Stevie Hood found James Edmond and he finished in style. Bishopthorpe wrapped the game up with two minutes remaining when Edmond added his second.
