Tigers’ team effort wins valued promotion place

STRENSALL Tigers FC Under-14s are celebrating promotion to division one of the York FA Minor League.

Tigers clinched the title by a point, edging out Stamford Bridge, after securing a 3-3 draw with Dunnington in their final league fixture.

Trailing 3-0 at half-time, Tigers hit back to claim the point they needed.

Manager Steve Field said: "After a very hard season, with its ups and downs, it was through the efforts of each and every player that they had gained their hard-won promotion."
