England U19s hit back in series

YORK teenager Jack Leaning was out for one run as England Under-19s kept their one-day international series hopes alive with a 32-run victory over hosts Bangladesh in Sylhet.

Heworth-based Yorkshire youngster Leaning batting at number three, was second man out having been trapped lbw by Naeem Islam, who claimed 3-31.

The tourists made 195-8 from their 50 overs after being put into bat and Bangladesh were then bowled out for 167.

The hosts lead the series 3-2 heading into the final two games.

The next match was in Sylhet in the early hours of today, with the series ending in Dhaka on Saturday.
