A MILESTONE half-century of service to Yorkshire school cricket is being celebrated by coach Adrian Grayson.

Grayson, the father of former Leeds United boss Simon and ex-Essex cricket Paul, received a watch from Yorkshire chief executive Mark Arthur to recognise his 50 years of service to school cricket in the county.

The presentation was made during the interval of a match between North Yorkshire Schools under-14s and a touring London Capital Kids team at Folkton & Flixton.

The hosts totalled 226-6 from their 45 overs and then restricted the tourists to 162-6 to record a 63-run victory.

The Capital Kids went on to lose by two wickets to Scarborough before concluding their Yorkshire tour with a three-wicket victory over Heavy Woollen.
