YORK will meet either Wheldrake or Londesborough Park in the final of the York & District Junior Cricket Association Quality Solicitors Burn & Company Under-11 (IB) Cup.

The young Clifton Parkers batted first in their semi-final against Pocklington and closed with a challenging 131-3 with Sam Lonsdale and Charles Mosley both hitting 30 not out, supported by 16 from Alex Trybanton.

For Pock, Harry Forman took 3-17 and then made 29, as Ted Baty also hit 16 in a spirited reply of 87-5 against a bowling attack that saw Sam Bousefield take 1-11, Sam Lonsdale 2-5, Trybanton 1-6 and Charles Mosley 1-11.

York’s bowlers were on form again in their team’s victory over Sheriff Hutton Bridge in division one of the Quality Solicitors Burn & Company U11 Championship.

Tudor Maude was the pick of the attack with 3-13, followed by Jack Davies (2-5), Cameron Luck (2-6), Corby Doeg (2-5) and Toby Search (2-2). Toby Matthews then hit 18 with both Luck and Maude striking18 not out.

Bridge’s man of the match was Louis Humphries with nine and 3-16 in three overs - including a first over in which he recorded figures of three wickets for six runs. Toby Welch took 1-20 and George Welch 1-17.

Dunnington’s trip to Malton ended with an eight-wicket win. For Malton, Ryan Chapman hit 15 and took 2-11.

Kier Brooke-Humphrey ended with figures of 4-2 as Clifton Alliance beat hosts Acomb ‘B’ in division two.

Also in the wickets were Joseph Baker (2-7), Nathan Gorst (1-2) and Joseph Hodge (3-8). There were runs for Jacob Skehan (11) and Baker (14). For Acomb, Thomas Dook posted figures of 1-4.

Alliance also took the points in a big win over Dunnington ‘B’.

Skehan hit 14, Baker 26, Ben Heath 20 not out and Ben Croft 23 not out. Hodge took 2-2, Gorst 0-3, Croft 1-2 and Heath 1-4.

For Dunnington, Will Hayes-Smith made 11 and James Crichton ten, Nathan Lawson took 2-20 and James Burrows 1-15.

North Duffield’s bowlers were on top as their team managed a one-run win over York in the Quality Solicitors Burn & Company U11 Development League.

Cameron Neesam took 3-16, Jack Holroyd 1-15 and Joe Britain 1-16. Harvey Johnson was the only batsman to get double figures in the game with 11 not out. The pick of the York bowlers was Webster 1-4 with Talego (1-4) and Hamilton (1-7) also excelling.
