BOLTON Percy are through to the semi-finals of the York & District Junior Cricket Association Quality Solicitors Burn & Company Under-11 Knockout Cup.

Percy beat Dunnington in the quarter-finals, restricting Dunnington to 84-4 in their allotted overs and then cruising to an easy eightwicket win at 86-2.

In the last four, they will travel to the winners of the Ovington v Walton tie.

In the last eight of the U11s Incrediball Cup, York had an eight-run win over North Duffield.

The York score of 100-9 owed a lot to the number of extras as Max Wilkinson (7) and Wolf Morne (7no) were joint top-scorers, with Cam Neesam taking 2-16, Harvey Johnson 1-15 and Jade MacDonald 1-18.

Despite 29 not out from Jack Holroyd, Duffield fell short thanks to Ted Wordsworth taking 2-14 and Tom Gleddon 1-9.

In the semi-finals, York visit Pocklington and Wheldrake host Londesborough Park.

U11s Championship division one leaders Acomb had Harry Watkinson to thank for their win at Malton & Old Malton as he contributed 15 runs and took 2-8, backed by Ben Thornton (11 and 1-12).

Second-placed York had a big win over Dunnington ‘A’. Toby Search hit 33 and took 1-2, Harvey Gration got 15 not out and 2-7, Tudor Maude made 14 not out and 1-4. Sam Lonsdale finished 12 not out, Charles Mosely took 2-6 and Freddie Schofield 2-9.

Jack Wilson (11no and 2-17) led the Dunnington response, with Edward Hammond hitting ten not out and Jack Bachelor 12, while Ed Millington took 1-11 and James Crichton 1-19.

Division two leaders Acomb ‘B’ proved too strong for hosts Heworth ‘B’ and also beat Dunnington ‘B’.

Bolton Percy lost a lowscoring affair at Yapham, whose bowling stars were Arthur Boyce (2-0), Harry Jones (1-3) and Finley Duncan (1-3). Percy’s George McVey took 3-9, Max Thomas 1-2 and Josh Appleyard 1-4.

The Yapham attack was again in good form in a win at Heworth ‘B’. There were three-wicket hauls for Maddy Hind (3-1), Ed Cardy (3-3) and Boyce (3-12), with Jones chipping in with 2-2. Jones made 25 not out and there were also runs for Alistair Deacon (17no), Hind (14no) and Louis Eccles (12no).

In the U11s Development League, joint leaders York ‘A’ met York ‘B’. The ‘A’ team won by seven runs.

Tudor Maude hit 17 and took 0-7, with support from James Hamilton (1-6) and Ben Webster (1-5).

For the ‘B’ team, Josh Telago made ten not out, Max Wilkinson 12 and there was a wicket each for Cameron Luck (1-0), Telago (1-6) and Reece Rochester (1-3).

York kept pressure on at the top with a 40-run win over Ovington.

Pocklington, the other joint leaders, held the upper hand at North Duffield thanks to 11 not out from Harry Farmer, 3-4 from Ted Baty and 1-0 from Ollie Spicer.
