TOM LOTEN’S 50 not out helped Dunnington to a 47-run win over Acomb in round two of the York & District Junior Cricket Association Under-15s President’s Cup.
Dunnington totalled 100-7 and Acomb closed on 53-8.
Selby could only respond with 71-8 after Woodhouse Grange had racked up 158-8, thanks to 51 not out from Tom Stubley and James Hattee’s 27.
Sam Watson made 27 as Gilberdyke totalled 91-9 against Hemingbrough, with George Wilson taking 3-8. Hemingbrough closed on 54-5.
Tom Lawson (4-4) and Dan Harvey (4-8) shot Pocklington out for only 27 before their Stamford Bridge side cruised to a ninewicket win.
Ryan Lows hit 33 as Tadcaster Magnets were bowled out for 89 by Sheriff Hutton Bridge, Joe Twigg taking 3-2.
SHB had earlier made 147-2, with runs from Charlie Rae (31), Danny Cass (48) and Joe Simpson (32).
Ed Rymer top scored with 28 not out as Heworth passed Clifton Alliance’s 50-8 for the loss of only one wicket.
Ted Patmore’s 26 helped York to a seven-wicket win over Yapham after Jack Williams’ 3-6 restricted Yapham to 73-9.
Londesborough Park totalled 134-3, with J Wraith 50 not out, before limiting Osbaldwick to 57-8.
Acomb emerged with an eight-wicket win from their zone ‘A’ clash with Heworth ‘B’ in the Hirepoint Plant & Tool Hire 15s Championship.
A knock of 45 from Dan Davison in a Heworth ‘B’ score of 84-5 was not enough to see off the threat from Acomb, who replied with 85-2 as Thomas Brown finished 32 not out.
In zone ‘B’ Londesborough Park’s score of 125-5 was too much for Gilberdyke, who were skittled out for 51.
C Brooke hit 46 for Park and C Foster 25, while Jack Knutt took 3-2. Park’s Callum Priestley then claimed 3-8.
Hemingbrough succumbed to 32 all out against Pocklington on a wet pitch as George Batty took 3-1 and Jonty Peters 3-3.
In reply, Pocklington lost seven wickets en route to victory as James Boyd-Bell finished with figures of 4-6.
Heworth ‘A’s Will Huffer took 5-4 as Yapham were swept away for 51 before Will Fryer’s 34 not out set up an eight-wicket win.
