YAPHAM were bowled out for just 51 by visitors Heworth who lost only two wickets in recording an easy victory in Zone B of the York & District Cricket Association's Hirepoint Plant & Tool Hire Under-15s Championship.

But rain was the only winner when Malton and Old Malton entertained York B. N Lock (35), O Farrow (25) and R Wharton's 22 gave the home side a platform, A Leahy (2-16), C Atkin (2-18) and Tom Backhouse (2-18) the pick of the York bowlers.

The heavens opened, though, five overs into the York innings.

Dunnington posted a big score against Heworth B in Zone A off the Hirepoint Plant & Tool Hire U13s Championship. Good batting from Harry Claxton, with 31 not out and Harry Griffiths (33 not out) along with Joe Richardson's 20 and Harry Paver's 14 saw them record a total of 137-3.

Leo Jones was the pick of the Heworth attack with 1-22.

Alex Stone hit 16 but Heworth struggled to 67-5 with D Cunningham taking 1-2, Jay Tolworthy 1-5 and Hamish Broadbent 1-9. Selby (61-9) overcame Bolton Percy (58-4) in a close game.

In Zone B, Clifton Alliance's batsmen took just 12 overs to knock off the runs and take the points against York B. Mayfield, Winterburn and Pearson all scored 19.

Search and Callum Brown (17 and 16 respectively) top scored for York, while Alliance's S Bayton (2-1) bowled well.

Sheriff Hutton Bridge took the points against Heworth A.

Ojas Pandev made 14 but some late order hitting from Alex Bell (19) and Will Rountree (12) helped Heworth to 58-9. Despite 2-17 from Zac Moorcroft, Bridge passed their target with six wickets in hand.

Acomb B batted first against visitors Tadcaster Magnets and posted a passable 89-6, with C Brooke top scoring on 17 not out and Charlie Marr posting figures of 2-10.

Thanks to economical bowling from B Carlin 2-6 and J Thornton 2-1, the Magnets reply closed on 58-9 - Cameron McKay making 17.

Pocklington's dynamic duo of Tom Scrowston (25 and 1-3) and Ted Baty (30 and 2-5) led their side to victory at Londesborough Park. They received good support from Alex Ashby with 25, Jesica Formann (1-6), Toby Russell (1-15) and James Kilham (1-7).

Batting first against Yapham, Woodhouse Grange closed with 119-3 thanks to Matt Ainley's 30 not out and Jonty Goddard (28). James Cardy took 1-2.

In the Yapham reply, Ollie Robinson made 23 not out and Sam Noble 23 but Harry Matthews (2-9) and Jonty Goddard (1-2) pegged them back to 87-8.

North Duffield asked visitors Stamford Bridge to take first knock and must have been happy as they closed on 71-5, thanks mainly to 27 from Liam Easton and 26 from skipper Ben Beard. Sam McDonald was the pick of the bowlers with 3-8.

But Bridge’s attack then got going and, despite 15 from Luke McAllister, Liam Easton's 3-4 Ben Beard's 3-3 and Joseph Fears' 2-8 skittled the hosts for 51.

Bishopthorpe batted well to post a total of 101-4 which proved too much for Drax, who could only muster 53-4 in reply.
