CLIFTON Alliance enjoyed a 22-run victory at home to Bolton Percy in the York & District Junior Cricket Association Quality Solicitors Burn & Company Under-11s Championship.

Joseph Baker made 12 for Alliance in the division two match and there were wickets for Kier Brookes-Humphrey (1-1), Nathan Gorse (2-2) and Baker (1-8).

Joseph Hodge, Ben Hudson and Freddie Mills all returned economical bowling figures of 0-5.

Percy’s Daniel Class hit 12 and their wicket-takers were George McVey (1-10), Lewis Thomas (1-5), Ben Gibbs (1-12) and Ollie Appleyard-Cole (2-14).

Percy fared better at Stamford Bridge as Gibbs took 2-6 and Class 3-7. For the hosts, Ewan White chipped in with 2-6.

Walton followed their first-game tie with a 49-run home win over Dunnington.

In division one, Dunnington ‘A’s Max Wilson took 2-5 in his team’s win at Sheriff Hutton Bridge.

Woodhouse Grange got the better of hosts Sheriff Hutton Bridge.

In a bowler-dominated game F Black’s 3-8 made him the pick of the Grange attack.

There were also wickets for J Matthews (1-4), L Ainley (1-9), J Wright (1-8) and M Ridsdale (1-14).

Bridge’s J Kirby took 2-5, L Humphreys 1-9, G Welch 1-6 and J Cawkwell 1-4.

In the Quality Solicitors Burn & Company U11 Development League, Wheldrake found hosts York in good form.

Max Darbandi hit 15 and Tom Matthews 14, with Alex Jones taking 2-12 and Tom Gledden 2-13 in a 46-run York win.

Wheldrake’s Ben Plevey made nine, while Sam Pickering took 2-15 and Sam Sadler 1-8.
