ELMPARK Under-14s have celebrated their first full season as a team by winning the sportsmanship award by the York Mitchell Football League.
They were a new team for the 2013/14 season and play at Heworth Cricket Club.
Manager Lee Ford said: “This is a massive achievement by all the lads especially with it being the first season and with the lads not knowing each other and some not playing football before.”
Elmpark finished seventh in division two of the York Mitchell League in a campaign in which they won six of their 18 matches.
