A SECOND successive Quality Solicitors Burn & Company Under-11 HB Cup appearance awaits Sheriff Hutton Bridge after they beat Clifton Alliance.
Theo Smerdon hit 30 not out, Alex Charlton struck 25 and Isaac Giannini notched 33 in a total of 121-2.
Alliance’s Isaac Kennedy made 30 not out but tight bowling from Billy Burgess (2-2), George Stevens (1-6) and Giannini (1-3) restricted them to 65-6.
Acomb ‘A’ are one step closer to retaining the trophy following their quarter-final win over Dunnington.
Jamie Thornton hit 44 not out, Joe Hickey 31 not out and Chris Wood 34 for Acomb, with Harry Griffiths taking 3-14.
There were runs for Finlay Smith (33 not out) and Charles Ford (22) but they were unable to overturn the Acomb total with Harry Watkinson taking 1-3 and Nick Hutton 1-8.
In the semi-final Acomb will play Malton & Old Malton.
